Falci scythe sickle with wooden handle – for tight spots and cutting close to the ground
This scythe sickle from Falci is designed for jobs where a large scythe or a mower is too bulky.
You can use it to cut tall grass and weeds along edges—for example around beds, under shrubs, or along paths and close to the house.
The difference from the round sickle is the design: the handle is offset.
This lets you cut closer to the ground without your hand or the handle catching in the grass.
This is especially practical in low vegetation and anywhere space is limited.
The scythe sickle is also suitable for harvesting a few bunches of green fodder (e.g. for rabbits or chickens).
Areas of use:
- Cut tall grass and weeds along edges (beds, paths, close to the house)
- Tidy up under shrubs and around raised beds
- Re-cut spots that a mower or large scythe cannot reach well
- Harvest small amounts of green fodder
Note: If you have experience with peening/hammering, the blade can be carefully reworked.
