Children’s Scythe Set – for fine grass in the garden
With this children’s scythe, you can perform initial mowing tasks with your offspring on fine vegetation in the garden.
For this purpose, we offer you a scythe blade from Falci that is suitable for short, fine grass on flat to slightly uneven surfaces. The slightly upward-curved point helps to prevent getting stuck on uneven terrain.
Austrian snath
The set includes the Schröckenfux Austrian snath. It is made of ash, ergonomically shaped, and is supplied with handles and a ring/socket wrench.
For this set, we offer the short size:
- Short model: suitable for body height approx. 120–155 cm
What is included in the set
- Schröckenfux Orchard Meadow and Shrub Scythe in 40 cm
- Schröckenfux Austrian snath, short model (approx. 120–155 cm), incl. handles and ring/socket wrench
- Zische coarse whetstone (corundum, grit 150, 23 cm)
- Zische fine whetstone Silicar Rotmarke (400 grit, 26 cm)
- Schröckenfux plastic whetstone holder with metal attachment (whetstone sheath)
Why two whetstones?
The coarse stone (150) is intended for more material removal – for example, if the cutting edge has small nicks or you need to quickly remove material.
The fine stone (400) is for resharpening during mowing, if you want to gently refresh a thinly peened cutting edge.
Technical specifications of the set components
- Scythe blade: 40 cm, weight approx. 480 g
- Zische coarse whetstone: grit 150, length 23 cm, weight approx. 160 g
- Zische fine whetstone Silicar Rotmarke: 400 grit, length 26 cm, weight approx. 200 g

Do you need suitable peening tools for your set?
A scythe only mows easily if the cutting edge is truly sharp – for beginners, we recommend our striking peening set with a Picard hammer and for experienced users, our Schröckenfux set (peening anvil with support table + peening hammer).
